Tensions flared at a busy shopping mall parking lot in Johor Bahru when a Singaporean motorist clashed with a local driver, sparking a heated confrontation caught on video.

The dramatic incident unfolded around 4pm on Thursday (May 1) outside Aeon Mall Bukit Indah, according to reports from China Press. Eyewitnesses described how the altercation began when the Singaporean driver of a white Toyota allegedly obstructed traffic flow, prompting angry honking from another motorist.

A viral 41-second clip, apparently filmed by a passenger in the trailing vehicle, shows the Singaporean man - dressed in green - physically confronting the other driver near an open car door. The footage captures escalating tempers as bystanders eventually separate the two men.

Before storming back to his vehicle, the Singaporean could be seen aggressively gesturing and shouting at his younger counterpart. Social media posts about the incident included claims that he challenged waiting for police intervention by saying it "depends on his mood."

The Iskandar Puteri police department confirmed receiving reports about the parking lot dispute involving two individuals: a 49-year-old Singapore national and his 21-year-old Malaysian counterpart. Authorities have launched an official investigation into circumstances surrounding physical altercation.

"We're reviewing all available evidence including witness statements and video recordings," said a police spokesperson during their Friday (May 2) media briefing regarding ongoing case developments.
