DBS PayLah! Cashback is Back: Enjoy $3 Rewards at Hawker Stalls and Heartland Shops Every Saturday

Starting July 12, Singaporeans and residents can once again enjoy cashback rewards when paying with DBS PayLah! at hawker centres, wet markets, and heartland shops across the island.

This popular cashback campaign — now returning as part of DBS/POSB’s celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday — will run every Saturday until September 27.

The first 160,000 customers to scan and pay with PayLah! at over 22,000 participating merchants can earn up to $3 cashback per transaction.

Participating hawkers and shops will be marked with the POSB “Support Our Heartland Shops” wobbler or the familiar PayLah! Scan to Pay sticker at SGQR-enabled stalls, making it easy for shoppers to spot where the cashback is available.

Over the three-month period, DBS aims to give out over two million cashback rewards to encourage residents to support local businesses while enjoying more value for their everyday purchases.

On top of that, from July 1 to September 30, DBS/POSB is also rolling out 60-cent meal promotions at selected F&B outlets, including beloved local names like Old Chang Kee, BreadTalk, and Toast Box. These deals can be unlocked with the POSB Everyday Card or PAssion POSB Debit Card.

More rewards are coming in August. From August 1, DBS/POSB credit cardmembers will be able to redeem their DBS Points and POSB Daily$ for the new DBS Rewards Flexi eVouchers via the PayLah! app. These vouchers can be used at any merchant that accepts NETS SGQR payments.

And here’s the best part — between August 1 and September 30, cardmembers who redeem 6,000 DBS Points for a $60 Rewards Flexi eVoucher will receive an additional $60 cashback.

According to DBS, over 70% of PayLah! Scan to Pay transactions are made at food and grocery merchants in the heartlands, showing the continued popularity of this payment method. Interestingly, around 39% of cashback claimants are seniors or lower-income earners (earning below $2,500/month), highlighting the campaign’s inclusive reach.

Commenting on the campaign, Mr Lim Him Chuan, DBS Singapore Country Head, said the initiative has received a warm response. “Bringing this initiative back for SG60 reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the everyday needs of Singaporeans. We want to make day-to-day life a little more rewarding, especially for those who rely on our local businesses in the heartlands.”

So whether you're picking up groceries, grabbing breakfast at your favourite hawker stall, or simply exploring the neighbourhood, be sure to PayLah! and get rewarded.
