Celebrating Singapore's 60th Birthday with Breakfast-Themed Plushies

Yet another limited-edition collection is here to celebrate Singapore's 60th birthday.

This time, it's all about breakfast-themed plushies with a local twist.

From July 18 to Aug 17, Marina Square is hosting a special retail pop-up showcasing collectibles inspired by Singaporean breakfast classics as a nod to the country's kopitiam culture, the retail mall announced on Friday (July 11).

Created by local entertainment brand Play Nation, visitors to this 'kopitiam' named Play Nation Kopi Shop can place their orders and witness the 'preparation', from the 'pouring' of kopi to the 'making' of toast.

The Kopi & Toast plush collection features eight characters that are dear to every Singaporean's heart.

The Kopi Kettle ($16.90) is a 'porcelain' pot that pairs beautifully with the Kopi Cup ($19.90).

Among the various food plushie options, you can find the Kaya Butter Toast ($14.90) and even different types of eggs.

You can choose the Hard Boiled Egg ($14.90) or the classic Soft Boiled Eggs ($12.90).

Play Nation also includes the essential Soy Sauce Bottle ($14.90) and Pepper Bottle ($14.90) to complete this quintessential Singaporean breakfast set.

If that's not enough, there's the Teh Bing Tote Bag ($24.90) to carry your new breakfast collectibles.

There are several curated sets to choose from.

The Classic Set ($45) includes Kaya Butter Toast, Soft Boiled Eggs, and Kopi Cup, while the Kopi Addict Set ($55) features the Kopi Kettle, Kopi Cup, and Teh Bing Tote Bag.

The Eggs Lover Set ($55) comprises Soft Boiled Eggs, Hard Boiled Egg, Soy Sauce Bottle, and Pepper Bottle.

And for those who can't pick just one plushie, why not collect them all?

The 8pc Shiok Max Set ($120) offers all plush items and a free mystery gift.

There are also mini versions of plushies for those who love cuteness, with eight different plush keyrings available in individual blind boxes ($14.90 each) or as a complete set of eight.

Keep an eye out for other products such as the Chilli Crab Plushie ($13.90) and the This is Home Playing Cards ($15.90).

Moreover, Marina Square App members can enjoy a 10% discount on the pop-up's merchandise, while customers who spend at least $80 at the mall can redeem a Singapore Heritage Series Kopitiam Building Block Set (worth $19.90).

5 Plug-in Hybrid SUVs in Singapore That Let You Go Electric Without Range Anxiety
For drivers in Singapore who want a taste of electric driving but aren’t ready to go fully battery-powered, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) offer a practical middle ground. They combine the benefits of electric mobility — quiet operation, lower emissions, and cheaper running costs — with the reassurance of a petrol engine for longer journeys.Unlike regular hybrids, PHEVs can be plugged in to charge their larger batteries, allowing them to run purely on electric power for daily commutes.

You may not fully know how it was driven, maintained, or treated by its previous owner. Before you settle into daily driving, taking a few practical steps early on can make a big difference.
