The K-pop world is buzzing this June as BTS members begin their long-awaited return from military service, with leader RM and charismatic vocalist V officially completing their duties today (June 10) amid heartwarming celebrations.

After enlisting together in December 2023, the two stars concluded their mandatory service in different capacities. RM, now 30, showcased his musical talents as part of the military band - a fitting role for the group's main rapper and producer. Fans were treated to a special moment when livestream footage captured him playing saxophone during his discharge ceremony. Meanwhile, 29-year-old V served with distinction in an elite special mission unit under the military police command.

V gave fans a glimpse into his final military days through an Instagram Story featuring popular actor Song Kang. The pair documented their friendship with photo booth snapshots and even squeezed in one last gym session together before discharge.

The BTS homecoming continues this week with vocalists Jimin (29) and Jungkook (27) scheduled for release on June 12, followed by producer-rapper Suga (32) on June 21. This marks a historic moment for ARMYs worldwide as all seven members will soon reunite after completing their national service obligations at different times throughout 2024.

Eldest member Jin (32), who was first to complete service earlier this year, has already announced ambitious solo plans including his RunSeokjin EP Tour kicking off June 28 in Seoul. Fellow early-discharged member J-Hope (31) is currently wrapping up his Hope on the Stage world tour which included well-received Singapore performances last April at the Indoor Stadium before concluding this Friday in South Korea - coincidentally just ahead of BTS's anniversary celebrations.

The excitement surrounding these homecomings reached new heights yesterday when HYBE Corporation transformed its Seoul headquarters into a massive celebration space overnight. The building's exterior walls now proudly display enormous BTS and ARMY logos alongside hopeful messaging declaring "We are back."

This Friday holds special significance as it marks exactly twelve years since BTS debuted under BigHit Music (now part of HYBE). The group's annual Festa celebration kicked off June 1 with digital content releases leading up to major offline events scheduled for June 13–14 at Goyang City venues near Seoul.
